Babe of the Month - Is Boavista SC medic Rossana Torales the sexiest doctor in football?

Is Rossana Torales Rodriguez now the sexiest doctor in football, since Eva Carneiro?
- a qualified health professional and nutrition specialist with Brazilian football side Boavista Sport Club, Rossana is a specialist in Orthomolecular Clinical Nutrition, besides being post-graduate in the same area and also in Sports Nutrition.

The gorgeous 29 year-old doctor, originally from Paraguay, moved to Brazil to work in Saquarema, in the eastern state of Rio de Janeiro, where she has been stealing hearts ever since!

Before joining Boavista SC in 2015, Rossana worked for the Sol de America Paraguay team, located in Barrio Obrero, a neighbourhood of Asunción, the capital of Paraguay.

However in January of this year, she decided to quit Boavista, where she was responsible for the dietary requirements of the Boavista group of Rio players, leaving many clubs excited about the possibility of acquiring her services! But she decided to hang up her white coat for good to concentrate on a new career as a fitness model.

'The muse of Boavista' for the last two years now divides her time between working in the field of nutrition in Rio de Janeiro along with her new fitness modelling career in Miami, in the United States. As a result Rossana was no longer able to hold down her position with Boavista Sports Club due to a lack of time.

Now it's time to pay homage to the lady who swapped her laboratory coat for a bikini!

Babe of the Month - Katarina Johnson-Thompson

Katarina Mary Johnson-Thompson was born on 9th January 1993 in Woolton, Liverpool and is an English track and field athlete specialising in the heptathlon.

At the age of nine, with an audition for the Royal Ballet School lined up, Katarina reversed Billy Elliot’s cinematic route and chose sport over dance.

Her father Ricardo is Bahamian, Katarina attended St Julie's Catholic High School in Woolton and John Moores University in Liverpool, where she studied for her sports science degree. Katarina represents Liverpool Harriers and is coached by Mike Holmes. She is also an ardent fan of Liverpool FC and admits she was "devastated" when Steven Gerrard left the club.

At the 2009 World Youth Championships in Athletics in Brixen, Italy, she won the gold medal in the heptathlon.

She missed most of the 2010 athletics season suffering from patellar tendinopathy, also known as jumper's knee.

Johnson-Thompson broke Jessica Ennis' British junior record at the Multistars competition held in Desenzano del Garda, Italy in May 2012.

At the 2012 IAAF World Junior Championships, held in Barcelona, Johnson-Thompson chose not to compete in the heptathlon competition to save herself for the Olympics; instead she took part in the long jump and the 100 metres hurdles, winning a gold medal in the long jump, with a leap of 6.81 metres.

Johnson-Thompson competed for Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the women's heptathlon, alongside compatriots Jessica Ennis and Louise Hazel at the Olympic Stadium. She finished in 15th place with a score of 6267 points.

In September 2012 Johnson-Thompson was nominated for the "European Athletics Rising Star award." In October, she won the "Lillian Board Memorial Award" (for junior women) at the 2012 British Athletics Writers' Association Awards.

In the 2013 IAAF World Championships held in Moscow, Katarina Johnson-Thompson finished in 5th place in the heptathlon. After a first day which left her in 5th place, with a personal best (PB) in the 200m, she had an excellent second day with PB's in the Long Jump, Javelin and the 800m, finishing just 28 points away from bronze medallist Dafne Schippers.

In March 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships held at the Ergo Arena in Sopot, Poland, Katarina won long jump silver with a PB jump of 6.81m.

On 11th July 2014, Johnson-Thompson set a new long jump personal best of 6.92m at the Glasgow Diamond League meeting, taking her to number 2 on the British all-time list for the event. Johnson-Thompson won gold at the 2014 edition of the prestigious heptathlon Hypo-Meeting in Götzis, with a world leading personal best score of 6682.

Katarina was expected to be the GB team’s outstanding performer in track and field at the Commonwealth Games and the European Championships last summer. But her hopes of competing were ruined by a stress-fracture in her foot.

Johnson-Thompson set a new British high jump record with a height of 1.97 metres at the British Indoor Championships in Sheffield on 14 February 2015, surpassing her previous record of 1.96 metres set on 8 February 2014. Prior to Johnson-Thompson, Debbie Marti's 1.95 metre jump had held the record since 1997.

On 21st February 2015, Johnson-Thompson set a new indoor British long jump record with a distance of 6.93m at the Birmingham Indoor Grand Prix.

In August 2015, Katarina finished in 28th place in the heptahlon at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing after three foul jumps in the long jump meant she failed to record a score in the event, effectively ending her hopes of winning a medal. Her final jump appeared to be good at first, but officials discovered on closer inspection that she had marginally overstepped the take-off mark, and ruled it illegal after a delay of nearly five minutes. She had been lying in second place to Jessica Ennis-Hill after the first day of events. Ennis-Hill went on to win gold.

Babe of the Month - City Slicker and Sex Bomb Toni Duggan

Toni Duggan was born in Liverpool on 25th July 1991, and is an English footballer who plays as a winger or as a forward for Manchester City Ladies and the England women's national football team.

Duggan broke into the Everton side in the 2007–08 season when the regular forwards suffered injuries. She scored the winning extra–time goal against Watford Ladies to put Everton into that season's FA Women's Premier League Cup final.

Duggan was named as the FA Women’s Young Player of the Year in 2009.

Toni also played in Everton's 2010 FA Women's Cup final win over Arsenal. Her form in the second part of the 2011 FA WSL season led team–mate Rachel Unitt to predict a call–up to the senior England squad.

Toni Duggan joined Manchester City as one of four marquee signings at the end of 2013 on a three-year deal. She scored her first City goals in a 2-1 win over Reading in the FA Women's Cup and went on to find the net ten times in her debut season for the Club.
Amongst those strikes were a Continental Cup semi-final winner at Hyde, and a stunning volley in the last league game of the season. Both finishes occurred against Chelsea, with the latter voted 'Goal of the Season.'

In March 2007, 15-year–old Duggan came off the substitute's bench to score on her debut for England Under–17s. She has since represented England at Under–19, Under–20 and Under–23 levels. She played in the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in both 2008 and 2010. On Duggan's 18th birthday, she scored the opening goal in England's 2009 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship final win, against Sweden in Belarus.

Duggan made her senior team debut in England's 3–0 win over Croatia in the European Championship qualifier against Croatia, at the Bescot Stadium on 19th September 2012. She was named England Women's U23 Player of Year in 2012. She scored her first international hat-trick in a match against Turkey on 26 September 2013, and was voted North West Female Player of Year 2013 and came 3rd in the PFA Women's Player of Year 2013.

Toni was named in the England squad for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup on 11th May 2015, currently being played in Canada.

When she's not kicking a ball, the blonde star player is regularly spotted, dressed to kill, enjoying the northern city's social scene. Like many a young footballer, Duggan has flirted with controversy.
Earlier this year, she 'blacked up' for a fancy dress party, dressing as actress Whoopi Goldberg in Sister Act.

A recent restaurant meeting with Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, captured on camera and subsequently posted on social media, saw her in hot water with her own club's fans. Duggan (far left) issued a hasty apology.

Babe of the Month - Jess Who's Back?

Yes the comeback has begun for Jessica Ennis-Hill!

The Olympic heptathlon champion has booked her place at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in her first competitive event since winning gold in London nearly three years ago.

The Sheffield born babe finished fourth overall at the gruelling two-day Hypo Meeting in Gotzis, Austria (above) at the weekend, meaning she can defend her title in Rio de Janeiro next year. The 29 year-old's points tally of 6,520 easily surpassed the Olympic qualifying mark of 6,200 points.

Jess missed most of 2013 season through injury and then gave birth to her son last summer, thus making her achievement in Gotzis even more remarkable!

Despite the frustration of not hurdling as well as she would have hoped, and failing to throw the javelin as far as she would have liked, Ennis-Hill finished just 11 points adrift of Nadine Broersen of the Netherlands who took third, and 27 points behind second placed Carolin Schaefer of Germany.

Brianne Theisen-Eaton, the Canadian who won the prestigious invitational event, amassed nearly 300 points more than the former world champion and recorded the highest score (6,808) by a heptathlete since Ennis-Hill won in London back in 2012.

Having secured a place at the World Championships in Beijing this August, Ennis-Hill may not compete in China unless she is in tip-top condition.
She said: "If I am a medal contender I will go, I don't want to go to the World Championships under-prepared."

Over the next week or so, Ennis-Hill and her team will deliberate over whether she can make the necessary progress in three months to improve by 200 to 300 points, perhaps risking injury should she push herself.

Babe of the Month - Pro Golfer & Model Blair O'Neal

Blair O'Neal was born in was born on 14th May 1981 in Macomb, Illinois, USA.

Her family moved to Arizona when at the age of two where she spent the rest of her childhood. At an early age Blair enjoyed ballet, jazz and cheer. Then at the age of 11, Blair’s dad enrolled her and her brother in a junior golf clinic at San Marcos Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona.

Entering high school, Blair had already established herself as one of the best junior golfers in the state. She eventually made the decision to take her talents to Corona Del Sol High School in Chandler, Arizona. Blair was a double threat earning high marks in academics and adding to her trophy collection on the golf course.

Blair was a three-time medallist at the 5A Regional Golf Championship, four-time Golf MVP and eventually 5A Arizona State Girls Golf Champion.

Despite countless collegiate offer letters, her childhood dream a reality and accepted a full ride scholarship to Arizona State University.
She competed all four years as an Arizona State Sun Devil having never missed or being sat out of a single tournament. And while doing so, she was crowned a two time NCAA women’s long-drive champion.

After college, Blair quickly turned professional and about the same time, booked her first modeling gig. After a short stint playing golf in Asia, she quickly gained status on the LPGA Symetra Tour (then known as the LPGA Futures Tour). For two years Blair fought financial instability and then a broken foot, and eventually made the decision to put her golf game on hold.

For the next three years Blair pursued her modelling career. She eventually racked up quite the modeling resume through runway fashion shows, television hosting, catalogues, magazine covers, websites and commercial advertisements.

Then one day she received a call from the creators of the Golf Channel’s Big Break television series. Golf Channel gotten wind of Blair through the golf community and asked her to audition. But having to knock the dust off her clubs just to audition, Blair was eventually denied.

So back to modeling she went and down went the golf clubs, again. But after nearly two more years of modeling, Blair got another call from the Golf Channel. This time they weren’t interested in Blair auditioning they wanted her on the show! Without a minute of hesitation, she accepted. During the spring of 2009, Blair competed on the Golf Channel’s Big Break: Prince Edward Island. And despite the lack of preparation time, she finished runner up. But more importantly, she revived her golfing career.

Having been away from the game for over four years, she lost her status on the LPGA Symetra Tour (then known as the LPGA Futures Tour). So Blair took to the local mini-tours to freshen up her game. While doing so, she received another call from the Golf Channel asking her to come back to do another Big Break reunion show. This time she was fully prepared. In the fall of 2010, Blair was crowned the winner of Big Break: Dominican Republic.

Blair’s Big Break winnings provided her the financial stability to pursue the game at the highest level. Later in 2010 she went to LPGA Qualifying School, making it to the final stage.

Although falling just short of obtaining her LPGA tour card, she got back her full status on the LPGA Symetra Tour. And in doing so, she proudly signed on with Cobra-Puma as her primary sponsor. In 2012, Blair completed her first full season on the LPGA Symetra Tour. Blair currently continues her quest of one day obtaining her full LPGA card.

When not crushing drives, the 5′ 9″ blonde bombshell has made the most of her modeling career. Among countless other accolades, Blair has been named: “One of the Hottest 50 Athletes of All-Time” by Sports Illustrated, one of the “Top 10: Fit Golfers” by Golf Channel, one of the “Hottest Golfers” by Golf Digest, and one of “The 18 Most Beautiful Women in Golf” by Golf Magazine.

She appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition magazine with Cobra-Puma three consecutive years from 2011-2013.

33 year-old Blair has also translated her experiences into the on-camera platform through her work as host of "The Golf Buzz" presented by Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday, "What’s in the Bag" with Cobra-Puma presented by the Golf Channel, "Hot Tips from a Hot Golfer" presented by Golf.com, and co-host of "Golf’s Sexiest Shots" presented by Golf Digest.

Blair continues her mission as a dedicated athlete, but presents the look and the personality that will will brighten anyone’s day. Her competitiveness and drive, combined with her beauty and character, make her equally gifted on the golf course, on the runway, and on the streets!
