Real Madrid have slapped a huge £64m (90m Euros) price tag on Manchester United target Sergio Ramos, claims AS.
Widespread reports in the UK say United have offered £35m for the defender, but AS claims Real want much more, while also reporting that Louis van Gaal’s side will also offer the Spain international a lucrative five-year deal worth £39m - AS and Marca (Spanish national daily sports newspapers)

Manchester United are close to signing Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, 25, for £24m, meaning they will not sign Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, 30 - Daily Star and skysports.com

Benfica and Argentina attacking midfielder Nicolas Gaitan, 27, has a deal agreed to join Manchester United - subject to his club's permission, according to his agent - Metro and A Bola (Portuguese newspaper)

It was reported earlier this week by Sky sources that Villa have yet to receive an any offer for the Benteke, who we understand has a £32.5m release clause - skysports.com

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is set for a medical today ahead of his proposed move to Arsenal. Earlier in the week the clubs agreed a £10.9m fee and it looked like the Czech would be undergoing the medical next week, but things appeared to have been brought forward - skysports.com

Arsenal are getting ready to make a £21.3m bid for Chile and Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal - Daily Mirror.

Nathaniel Clyne is set to have a medical at Liverpool next week, with the club expected to complete a structured £15m deal for the Southampton full-back.

Real Madrid were hopeful of sealing a deal for David de Gea this week but, with things dragging on, have revived their pursuit of Bernd Leno as a plan B. The Bernabéu chiefs have been tracking the Bayer Leverkusen shot stopper all season and have been in touch with his representative on several occasions. Leno, who is currently away at the European Under-21 Championship, where he is serving as Marc-André ter Stegen's understudy, has a €18m release clause.
