Babe of the Month - Read the Surfer Manuel on Hawaiian Hottie Malia


Malia Manuel was born on 9th August 1993 in Kauai, Hawaii and is a female professional surfer.

Surfing has been ingrained in Malia’s blood since she was born. At the age of two, Malia started surfing with her parents, catching waves along the beaches of Kauai.

In 2008 aged 14, Malia became the youngest ever female or male to win the US Open of Surfing held at Huntington Beach, California. Since then Malia has continued to influence the female surfing progression by placing 1st in the US Open Pro Junior in 2009.

In 2011 she became champion of both the Azores Islands and Spain's Pantin Classic WQS 6-star events, and earning the top qualifier spot for the elite Association of Surfing Professionals Women’s World Tour (ASP).

To cap off her first year on the World Tour she claimed the prestigious title of  'ASP Women’s Rookie of the Year 2012' - and went on to win the WQS 6-star event in Oceanside, California in 2013, cementing her first place spot in the World Rankings.
Rounding out 2014, Malia finished 5th in the world on the Women’s Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour.

In 2015 Malia was a semi-finalist in the Women’s Drug Aware Margaret River Pro event held in Western Australia, and was chosen an inspirational woman to other women by Mind Body Green as one of the 100 Women To Watch in Wellness, alongside the likes of Christy Turlington Burns, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hillary Biscay, Jessica Alba, Krista Stryker and Torah Bright.

Malia's hobbies outside sport include: Yoga, Running and growing organic food.



She is sponsored by O'Neill wetsuits and clothing, Von Zipper eyewear, Sanuk footwear and Mayhem surfboards.
